Portugal 2007

Summer holidays this year were supposed to be in Portugal at Liz and Steve’s house, which David, Richard and I had booked for the last two weeks of July. But Basrah got in the way for me, although I managed to arrange for my one week’s R and R to coincide with the start of it so that I could get a few days there at least. David and Richard were to be there for the majority of time, joined by other house guests as the two weeks went on. Nice house, very comfortable, nice area, guaranteed good weather.

All others had a lovely time. Somewhere to return to, I think.

Post Easter trip back to Portugal to Liz and Steve's, just for five nights, but very pleasant. Weather wasn't great, but I took the Bike Friday and managed to get out for a few rides about. Nice food and drink, great relaxation in the spacious house. D and R enjoyed it too.
